@ Taipan It happened because of 3 times retiring through no fault of his own whilst leading... Multiple grid penalties and being taken out of races by other drivers.
Look at Austen for example when there were no car issues, The fastest car driver combination hunted down Vettel and overtook him for the win.

Its not fanboy logic just the facts..

RB27, Austen (sic) was one race! you could just as easily look at any one of Vettel, Alonso, Webber, or Button's wins and say the same thing, Christ why not go one step further and hail Maldonado or Rosberg's win and say look what happened when they had no car problems!

Austen was well known for romantic fiction so maybe your spelling was right all along!

rb27. you really have it bad. are you by some chance, the well known fanboy RGB/herts/ a dozen other names?

lulu may have gotten taken out, but how do you make out that he was always leading? when grosjean took him out, he was lying about sixth.

and the likes of seb also suffered similar problems, or does that not count.

all the top drivers had problems of some sort. thats racing! but only one oercame the problems and overhauled a large points deficit to become wdc. why didnt lulu do that too? he was out of the picture at about two thirds distance.

and yes lulu followed seb for a large part of a race .then took advantage of a backmarker delaying seb, used drs and got past. and then pulled out a HUGE margin of....six tenths of a second! WOW...EPIC!

Lewis held a little over a one second margin. Seb couldn't get close enough to lewis to use his drs. Too busy crying in the helmet. Seb and the team had a party ready for the after race celebrations. Lewis rained on tbe red bull parade. I know because i was at the race. Seb tried as hard as he could to win tbe race and both championships that day. He gave up once Lewis blew by him.

@Richard Taipan, no I have only ever posted as rb27 on this site. Although i have a suspicion you guys might be one and the same person!!

Yes all the top drivers did encounter problems at some stage, just not as many and not as harmful to their championships as Hamilton. Which other driver this season retired from the lead 3 times??

Yes Seb did get slightly held up by a backmarker, but if it was the other way around you guys would be the first ones on here spouting about Hamiltons bad racecraft!!

The guy cannot win in your eyes he could get pole, win and fastest lap every race and you would STILL say something negative! Enjoy him while you can because F1 would be a darn sight poorer without him. Drivers like him are the reason a lot of us Tune in every 2 weeks to watch F1 not to see people cruising around inheriting positions.

Come on guys Gilles Villeneuve, Ronnie Peterson, Alesi, Senna..... or Button, Massa, Patrese, or Rubens

I know who I would rather see!!

rob. seb cry in his helmet? that is rather a childish remark , as nobody was crying. seb had earlier made a comment about being held up by the gherkin, allowing lulu to get into drs reach. after that, seb shadowed lulu and even when withing drs range, did not bother to deploy the aid. he was playing the long game and avoided the risk inherrent in a pass attempt. the word is THINKING!

rb27. no , ty is ty, richard is richard, and ne'er the twain shall meet. as i said, all drivers had problems, but to isolate one and say that he should have won the wdc is ridiculous. even ferdi was in a better position than lulu. as another poster said, one wdc out of SIX years! and all the dreaming in the world will not change that!

@ Richard But please you have still not answered my questions.
1 which other driver retired from the lead 3 times losing 75 points?

2 Why was Buttons Mclaren not as fast as Hamiltons in qualifying?

Lewis was being real with his thoughts about next year, yet notice the first three post, negative. If anyone does not join them than they must be a fanboy or whatever name they choose..Sad Lets get back to enjoying f1, good or bad I still love it
