I can't imagine the organisers of the Goodwood festival of speed being very happy if no GP is is put into the vacant slot as they have moved it to suit the F1 calender. You all know Mr E will only do what suits his pocket best. Maybe the Austin GP could take the place of New Jersey as they got a date clash their and if they were travelling to the US anyway what difference is it to go to Austin instead. Clash with college football - Solved......

Of course Bernie is going to rule out the option of a return to the RBR ring, cos the fans would love F1 to return there! Nothing against Istanbul, great circuit, just a shame about only 8 or 9 fans go there to watch it.

1 i love the ring
2 i am there every year for different races
3 its one of the best locations ...... But

4 bernie is right
5 only 40.000 allowed atm, grandstands for just 25.000
6 no hotels anywhere to compete even with the team .. I was late this year for the dtm race .... In september i couldnt get any room anymore inbetween 40 km around knittelfeld

So RB would have to pay for it ... And acomodation realy is a problem there

CJD, there's nothing particularly wrong with it unless you take the "ring" as a slang term. You can probably figure out what it would mean.

But yeah, there's more to take into account than just the track itself. The circuit itself being great is one thing, but the facilities, accommodation, transport, etc. all have to be considered as well.
