You have no way of knowing that. It might have been a three way fight but if Vettel hadn't had two mechanical failures, if Alonso hadn't been taken out at Spa....if my Auntie had b0llocks she'd be my uncle etc.

If you'd stuck possibly before 'have' I'd have accepted if, as it is you have no way of saying for Certain McLaren could have won. They should have but that's another story.

elijah. i agree with taz. i think that the season was pretty perfect, and it was foul ups from macca, etc that CONTRIBUTED to it being a good season.

angie. ithought you were fron w coast of usa. do you actually get bbc there? sky was certainly good, apart from georgie, who added nothing to the show

I think there were three particularly standout Drivers this year.

1) Alonso. Undoubtedly the best in the field this year. Car simply.wasn't.there for large parts of the year yet he took it down to the wire.

2) Raikkonen. Amazing comeback. Apart from Abu Dhabi largely unspectacular but to finish 3rd in the standings is a great achievement.

3) Hamilton. Whether you like him.or not he's been immeasurably more controlled than last year. Let down by McLaren far too often

Notable absence is Vettel. Whether its a conspiracy theory or.not is down to you, but how can Red Bull go from insanely quick, have loads of stuff forcibly removed from the carcomparatively struggle for a few rounds only to then become ridiculously fast again. To me, the FIA should've been.checking them again.afte Japan. Don't get me wrong, still gotta drive it and he did that well, but it just seems a bit fishy to me.

Think next year is crunchtime for Button, Massa and Webber. If Massa has another awful spell he coul

Good season, yes. Great? I'm not sure. For me, the tyres caused a bit too much randomness. And McLaren shooting themselves in the foot so often was painful to watch. You'd think they'd have learnt.

How was 2010 not one of the all time great seasons? There were a record number of lead changes in the drivers title over the season, culminating in a final race in which any of four drivers could have become champion, which itself was another record.

Some peoples idea of a "boring" season is any season in which their favored driver does not win.
