@Pole Position

No need to nick taglines from tarantino movies to try and make your point :p

The irony of your "no grip" argument is that he's far better than lulu in low grip conditions.

Perez needs to calm down a bit, his end to the season wasn't that impressive.

@ Taz Too bad for "No Grip" the whole season isn't effected by changeable weather conditions. Once Perez gets settled at Mclaren he's going to be like a little chihuahua biting on Button's ankles. lol

I don't see that leading the team is going to make much difference. Even if we assume that McClaren produce a car that suits Button on a regular basis he is going to have to find a way to qualify at the front every race not just once ot twice a season and I don't see that happening. He simply does not have the ability to go out and nail it regardless of the car like Hamilton/Vettel/Alonso do. I think that once Perez is settled in he will push Button to the limit and it will be interesting to see how that pans out as the season progresses, my guess is that there will be little in it by seasons end.

@oldtimer - with DRS it really doesn't matter where you qualify these days. The main advantage of being up front is that there it is less likely that you will be involved in a crash at the start (unless Grosjean is anywhere nearby).

I'm sure JB said the exactly same thing before start of the 2012 season?
Is it just he forgets what he told or he think fans forget what he said year ago?

@pole position - I think you have serious issues regarding Jenson Button. Any mention of either his name or Hamilton and you launch into another anti-Button tirade. Seriously mate, you're sounding like a broken record. How about trying to make a reasoned argument for once instead of taking ill-informed pot-shots, basically saying the same thing over and over.

What must you have been like last year when Button was beating your erratic and out-of-sorts idol? Must have been hell for you!

Buttons comments here, which are taken from an Autosport interview, are perfectly reasonable, articulate and intelligent, which is the way Button goes about things. He knows, as does the rest of F1 (and any serious F1 fan) that if he gets the car in the zone to suit his driving style and, like the red bull this year, it's a class act, he'll be winning races and another WDC might well be on the cards. Prepare to eat humble pie next year as Jenson wins while your beloved Lewis toils around in the middl
