While we're on the subject, the bone of contention raised by Dennis and Senna after Suzuka 89 was that Senna should not have been disqualified for taking to the escape road after the crash, perhaps a fair point but my question is why was he not disqualified for getting a push start from track marshalls instead?

Lauda was dsq for a push start in Canada 72
Piquet was dsq for a push start in Monaco 90

Senna should have been dsq for a push start in Suzuka 89, not dsq for driving through the escape road, this would have given conspiracy theorists one less thing to moan about.

Vettel so good as he did not ask a favor of RB. team nor Webber to help him at Brasil Gp.He did not ask a gearbox change at Webbers car to start from the third place like Alonso did before.Therefore he is the greatest...

@Uncle Sam

dude, didn't you see Alonso's wins in Valencia, Germany & Malaysia this year? His win in Great Britain Last Year? and Italy, Singapore, Bahrain, Korea, Germany in 2010? he had the inferior car since 2010.. especially in 2012 when the F2012 was WAY slower than the RB8... So yeah Alonso has won in an Inferior car, I think he's the best driver on the grid to be honest, Lewis running a close second.

In the days that Stewart, Moss, Brabham, etc etc were racers, thats exactly what they were, racers with a passion to win and outwit their opponents, they all had similar cars, power, tyres and money was not an issue, but holding a cup was. They were as I say, racers, had to control cars that had no electronics except the basics, speedo, rev, heat and tyres, manual gears. These days however the drivers have the works to assist them in such a way that they only drive, the fastest car wins even though a rookie is driving (or steering). So, to be a great RACER, give them all the same cars then see who is the best, I bet Button, Schumaker, and the likes will run away with every race.

Such a misleading headline,

Should read " Stewart doesn't consider Vettel a great, Yet."

Put simply he is right, just cause he has had 3 championships in a row doesn't make him a great, just better than his competitors.

RB had a massive hill to climb after exhaust blown diffusers were outlawed, it took them half a season to get the downforce back. He stayed positive, have alternator problems and retired 3 times (as did Alonso) and still came out on top. He earned this latest title, But Stewart is right. Once he's finished racing his status will be determined.

Not yet.

When Vettel had a worse car than he's been used to, this year, he clocked up 3 poles, 1 win and 4 podiums, leaving 3 races pointless. From AUS-ITA Over the same period, Alonso with an even worse car managed 2 poles, 3 wins and 7 podiums, finishing every race bar 1 (Belgium) 9th or higher. Drivers are never measured by what they achieve in the best car, Senna 88 for example, but what they achieve in a terrible one, Senna 93, with a car routinely 1.1 seconds slower Senna managed to stay ahead in the WDC until the 7th race of 16, without even scoring a pole position and suffering the same unreliability as Prost (not quite Hill's,) in a season where he should have been a very distant 3rd at all races, Senna managed 5 wins, of which all bar 1 had both the 1.1 seconds a lap faster Williams finishing behind him. You can point to Monza 2008 as much as you like, but until Vettel has a car like that again, we won't know for certain how good he really is.
