The driver of the day award is given out immediately after each race to the guy on the top step of the podium.
The bleeding hearts have their moral victory vote and it is intended for the driver they feel most sorry for. This is what we're seeing here.

Driver of the day voted by the people that watch the race and see the real skill in driving is not all about who won! An award the mighty Vettel will never win cos he's just an average driver, so he can keep his pole positions ,fastest laps & championships, as impressive as the stats are if a world full of votes doesn't even even give him one medal in all those races what does that say about his driving skill! just some arrogant little kid who has the fastest car!

Boom, I agreed with your first sentence, then it all went down hill from there...

Vettel and Alonso both drove brilliantly this season, personally I'd say Alonso was the driver of the year but that takes nothing away from Vettel's performance.

boomer. your insight into a drivers personality is utterly amazing!
but there again, it is obvious that vettel is not your favourite driver, despite his fastest laps, poles wins three wdcs, all at the age of 25.

somehow i get the impression that you are considerably younger, and as jealous as hell.

and if vettel is arrogant, what does that make lulu, schumi, alonso, etc etc?

Richard - You also make it obvious that Seb is your favorite driver with your rose coloured glasses !!

Majority of people voted Ferdi (and I bet alot if those people aren't Ferdi fans) so obviously majority of people don't hold Seb in high opinion regardless of his stats. What are you gonna do....... Pick on everybody one by one that doesn't agree with your's and Angelina's opinions ???

Totally meaningless vote and result. Does not factor in any decisions made by sponsors or teams. It is always skewed in favor of drivers with a rabid fan base regardless of competence and or results. Nobody remembers who came in second in the Olympics or any sport. The only person talked about is the one that won.

A very insightful and correct post there which I agree with 100%
However you are wasting your time here on this site trying to talk sense to the Vettel groupies as this site is heavily biased towards RedBull
If Vettel had scored well in this survey they would have been shouting its validation of their hero
since it didnt they decry and demean it- displaying no sense of rational fair thought whatsoever
