If I was Horner I think that I would have left Perez out of the conversation. If anything the last half of the season showed that Ferrari were correct to stick with Massa over Perez. I guess this just goes to show that RBR are more fearful of Ferrari than McLaren.

As said above, the same reasoning can be applied to the retention of Webber, look at what Vettel has achieved in the same (apparently eaqual) car. Christian should really keep his oppinions on how teams manage their drivers to how Red Bull manage them. Webber's form since Silverstone relative to Vettel wasn't too far of Massa relative to Alonso at the start of the season. Smuggness isn't a good attribute Mr Horner

Ferrari said Vettel had signed a contract for 2014 just to try and destabilize RBR in the season run-in and it was a load of b0llocks. Don't see why Horner can't play the same games.

@Taz, Horner can of course but not sure it's a good idea for him to do because the same comparisons can be made of Vettel/Webber, so surely if he sticks to his guns, shouldn't Webber have been bought out of a drive? Either that or those cars aren't as equal as it appears? It's worth wondering.

One things for sure -
Horner will NEVER sign a halfway decent second driver who is capable of properly giving Vettel a run for his money ,since this would prove the absolute superiority of the RBR cars, and expose the myths about wins being achieved by Vettel's driving ability

Hence this is why they stick with the journeyman aussie ,who does just enough to be able to perpetuate the lie that the Fingerlings continually peddle.

It would be great to see a proper Top Tier driver as team mate to Vettel, with him given full and equal team support to see just what would be THAT outcome
