Exactly Hertfordshire, The only time Button retired from a decent result was 2nd place at Monza and what position was Hamilton in at that time? Now let me think.....Ah yes he was leading!

Coincidentaly JB had 5 front row starts (same as 09) avd 9 starts from the front two rows (more than 09) this year, maybe his best year of qualifying (apparently his weak point)

bibex. you are fast overtaking herts etc as the ultimate fan boy! congratulations, that is actually a hard result to achieve.

you could use stats to prove that ferdi should have been the wdc, or that seb or webber would have been wdc half way through the season. and then theres schumi, if he did not retire or crash so often, he could also have been wdc.
lulu has failed four consecutive times to deliver the wdc to macca, despite all the support he gets from herty etc.

the season is over, button and lulu both failed to win the wdc. both finished within 2 points of each other. no point crying over spilt milk.
just look forward to 2013

richard why do you assume just because anybody says anything positive about Hamilton that they are a fanboy?

I actually support Webber out of all the current drivers but am not so blind to see that he is not as quick as Vettel. Its the same with Massa / Alonso.

As much as Hamilton can be an annoying little berk sometimes nobody who follows the sport seriously cannot say that overall he is not a quicker driver than Button

WOW, thanks richard, me the king Hammi fan. I just wonder who is the king Justin Bieber fan is?

Anyway its good to see a poster seeing things as it was this season with Hamilton being the better driver at Mclaren and tbh the best driver of the season bar Alonso.

apparantly brawn was seen looking at shopping trollys in morrisons..looking for inspiration i think.or as he decided to base 2013 on the morrisons trolly instead of last years car being based on asdas trolly....why dont merc use some of morrisons some of asdas and a bit of the aldi trolly..maybe then brawn will get it right and give lewis a fighting chance...fat chance..

Methinks that Lewis is far too susceptible to emotional distractions, and that played a huge part in his lack of success for the last two seasons. Once he got his girly side under control, he was quick as hell.
Jenson has a weakness too, and that is the tendency to whine about the tires almost all year. And again, once that got sorted to his satisfaction by the team, he was PDQ as well.
So, carrying this all forward, if, (and I suspect that Lulu did some growing up this year) Lewis can put his head down and race, he has the pace to make a slow car competitive, same as Fernando. And IF (a bigger ask) Ross Brawn can get his head out of where it's been stuck for two years, Lewis will be a major factor in 2013. If either or both do not happen, Lewis will have to fall back on his RAP career.
