On the long term , it is not good for the sport to keep winning wdcs. That's why the fortune has to be helped somehow.Sometimes by a human hand (FIA's) as was the Michael's case and some other times by the driver himself as Loeb did, who just has made a step backwards.
However it might not be such case for Vettel, for the time being. At least not in 2013.

Spent almost all but the last third of the of the season fighting in the middle of a pack of cars, he survived that, won from the front when he got the chance too, pretty much able to do everything. He's got 'killer intinct' once the lights go out

What was key this year was that we never stopped believing.
May be so, but the key was that McLaren was not behind Hamilton, otherwise the results would have probably looked a whole lot different. Further more the FIA gave an helping hand in Abu Dhabi, there is no way he should have been able to change the cars configuration starting from the pit lane, when Hamilton got caught out with low fuel in Spain, the talk was about disqualification and to be lucky to be able to start from the back of the grid. So the FIAs double standards helped him gain his 3 points. !

Love him or hate him, you can't deny that he has obvious respect for the sport's history and total awareness of the magnitude of his achievements (so far).
By all reckoning a worthy Champion.
We need more Drivers like him.

Hey all the Rons!

So your wishing your golden boy had a Red Bull then!

History shows Great Drivers usually get a Great race car by helping to develop it.
