taz. i seem to remember that aberdeen was to host a street race. but wasnt there something about too many seagulls?

but wouldnt a better site be anglesey? there is an island that could host a independent "gp of the islands", that is unless the isle of man or skye object!

@richard

Don't forget the Isle of Lewis, I was born there and Stornoway would make an amusing street race...there used to be plenty on Friday nights when I were lad.

Mark, Bernie will charge every other player an exorbitant buy in fee to play on "his" table then use that money to play with.

Have a look at Pitpass, Bernie's ideal Christmas gift is to have F1 more like the NFL, ie he gets to own everything that the teams currently own including sponsorship.

Most of the comments here are purely delusional!

Suggestions of Mangy Cours (REALLY BORING and can't afford the race), A1 Ring (REALLY BORING and Bernie says there are no hotels, which was the problem to begin with), Kyalami (REALLY BORING and has been ripped up). Honestly!

Rose tinted glasses for tracks that are garbage, and in the middle of nowhere. "Hey Sponsors, come see our fantastic global showcase, just make sure you bring your rain boots and Foot&Mouth spray".

There is nothing grassroots about Formula one. Leave it in the past. Any if the tracks in the middle of nowhere can't pay for the privileged anymore, all the better! All it's doing is pushing F1 in the direction it needs to go (you know, forward).

KGB I get your opimion on Magny Bores, but the A1 ring always produced great racing despite the circuit being a bit Micky Mouse. The only reason really for Arab/Asian expansion is money! They're the only ones whom can afford Bernies bernies (ala Labours million that Blair n co gave back)
Richard there was a street race in Italy in the 50's (I can't remember where) which was won by Moss and only ran once.
