ptolomy. i guess that "outright speed" means that you can put in the odd fast lap to grab pole, but then lack the consistency to keep up that speed and finish races. the best person who has outright speed AND consistency, at present is seb. and that is why some knockers say he can only win from the front.

If Rosberg beats Hamilton in qualifying and races next year then he will prove that he is a faster driver than, Button, Alonso and Heikke.

None of the above have managed to be consistenly faster than Hamilton. Personally I can not see it as he didnt compare that well to Webber at Williams and the Schumacher 2nd time around was not the same as the first time.

Outright speed is on the limit braking, at the edge of adhesion cornering, on the throttle earliar and instinctive natural car control and risk taking. NOT cruising around in lower positions waiting for others to retire.

Hence the average 0.5 second difference in qualifying lap times between the 2 Mclaren drivers.

The romans had one day, close to the year end, in which the slaves swung roles with the masters. Therefore they slaves reigned as masters all that day long.
Now let the knockers have their reigning time all the winter hollydays !
After all, it has to be a due reward for all the hard time they have had to endure during the season.

@ Taz Lewis Hamilton is by no means a gangsta (wannabe maybe). He would be just another black man walking down the street in any major city in America. Wearing a couple earrings, having some tattoos, and sporting baggy jeans is a normal way of life here. There's nothing gangsta about it. lol

"The Man" If Lulu get pole, win and fastest lap in Aus I'll say "wow a hat trick, he's only done that twice in 110 GPs and the last time was FIVE years ago!"

So much for for outright speed eh?

Ptolomy, outright speed is the illusion that fanboys cling to. Points, wins and Championships would make them face the reality that Lulu just isn't as good as they all though.

Taipan Have you read the latest issue of Autosport magazine? the writers there have placed him 2nd overall in the top 50 drivers in the world not just in F1 commenting not just on his unbelievable bad luck this season but also his speed

Their words "hammering team mate Jenson Button"

I guess they have all the inside knowledge of the current drivers strengths and weaknesses and are a much more better gauge of a driver than the likes of yourself

"the man" yes I read many F1 magazines and most F1 web sites, however I make my own mind up on all things. I am not led by what others say, type or think. If anyone from Autosport wants to nip on to Crash and debate their views with me I'd be happy to accommodate them...
