RBR, mclaren and FERRARI operates exactly on the same lines regardless of what is perceived and said including by the teams themselves, they will support/ throw most of their support on the driver they believe they have the best chance of winning with. Fact's has shown that these three top teams prefer their present driver's line up as against having Lulu. Facts also show that Lulu has knocked on the doors of both FERRARI and RBR when he was sure that he was being pushed without luck and that shows that Mercedes was his 3rd best option. It should be noted that RBR offered a seat to Alonso, which he rejected at the end of 2009 while Vettel was driving for them.

Whitmarsh has stated that Mclaren offers to keep Lewis would have made him the highest paid driver for the 2013 season, and three times raised there offer, so how is that someone being pushed out of a team?

Whitmarsh said a lot of things including he had no plan B.
The thing between Lulu and mclaren was simply TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.
Now fact is he (Lulu) ended up getting a 3rd preferred seat.
