Well this year has proved one of the F1 rules and that is that a team that wants to win today can support at 100% only one car/driver, you a can see it that when it mattered Ferrari has helped massa to improve to secure 2nd place. McL really tried to support both drivers and since 2008 no championship. I think this rule can be overwritten only if you have such a stellar guys like Prost/Senna, Peterson/Andretti, Clark/Hill, Piquet/Mansell, bescause they can push the whole team by talent or hard work... I think its really good that the top teams can provide drivers such a support that both can win on their own (like BUT and HAM, VET and WEB oddly)

I'm a JB fan but I guess that's fair. He was the faster of the two McClaren drivers in the first couple of races, seemed more comfortable, then, after China, it all went pear-shaped for a while. So it wasn't a great year, it has to be said. Kimi did well so will probably be 4th in this poll but let's not forget he started the year behind Grosjean in qualifying and it was only the Frenchman's (sometimes abject) lack of race craft that meant he was unable to capitalise on his speed.

Now it is obvious who is in the final four. I think that Massa, Koby, and Perez are all very lucky to make the top 10. There are race winners and pole sitters that should be ahead of these guys.

It might be difficult to place the performabce of Mclaren's car next year with two fast but inconsistent drivers. Hamilton had off days in terms of incidents but he always got close to the car's maximum so they at least knew what their car could achieve. Fifth seems about right, but I might have put Hulkenberg in front.

Button had a better start in Australia and Lewis struggled from their on, in Sepaing Lewis got Pole, China Lewis got 2nd but Gear box penalty dropped him to 7th Bahrain, Valencia, Catalunya, Monaco, Montreal, silver-stone Lewis was the faster driver only Spa and Suzuka I could say Button was faster

@hamster - well, I can't disagree with any of that except to say that in Australia and Malaysia Button seemed quicker in the races. Lewis was in the process of getting his confidence (and his mojo) back. Then he started to fly.

Whatever changes McLaren made to their car from China onwards, which this years tyres, just didn't suit Jenson, but they worked for Lewis.
