...And what if Massa were to have a 50 point lead over Fernando after the 6 or 7th race in 2013? I can guarantee you that Montezemolo will have a little "talking to" with Massa, and he will be put in his proper place behind Fernando. This guy Monte is beginning to look like Ron Dennis. Those two guys have drivers that they just LOVE and will do ANYTHING to protect them.
Shame on Montezemolo and what he is turning Ferrari into.

Ptolomy - Spot on Posts!

I posted elsewhere that Ferrari seem to have taken loosing both championships very badly.

Red Bull had a lot of problems this year and overcame them. Winning was no fluke.

Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren all go racing under the same rules. Red Bull have been the best at it for a while now, running to 'the spirit' is what made Red Bull re-configure Vettels car, caused Ferrari to break Massa's seal and caused McLaren to 'short fuel' Hamilton in Barcelona.

While I do not agree it is sportsman like with some of their tactics I do not disagree. Ferrari are not different from another team in that they are doing all they can to make sure they come out ahead. F1 is all about exploiting the rules. It is no different than when Brawn had the double diffuser or when any other team find a loop hole or different interpretation of the rules to make their cars have an advantage.

People cry for the good old days of F1 when it was a gentleman amateur sport. Those days are gone, get over it. F1 is a multi billion $ cut throat business where each team is trying to get their part. IMHO, if you're not cheating, you're not trying.

@john - there is nothing wrong with it unless you dislike Ferrari. People should be upset that the organizers gave drivers on the "dirty" side of the track such a disadvantage. I mean if it was that bad they should have done a rolling start or scrubbed both sides to equal it out.

I don't understand why Ferrari's move in Austin early this year still generating so much buzz. I mean I don't always agree with how they handle things in their garage but Ferrari did not break any rules and F1 has been all about rules for a long time this is exactly why teams hire the best engineers and strategist, to overcome FIA's stupid regulations. So what is the big deal?

@Luca

gentleman's sport? Are you serious? Ever watched Senna's movie? Dude this F1 bro a single piece of the car the size of your wallet can cost millions let me tell you in F1 money really counts trust EVERYONE will do whatever it takes to win don't kid yourself not even for a second. All these guys are sharks and that's why they are in F1 and it's the only way or else go compete in Nascar or GP2 or Formula Ford. FIA makes their stupid regulations and the teams hire the best to overcome them its that simple.
