Congratulations to the voted driver but what is this all without the crown, it is a pity that you are again the loser. You should learn from the new champion strong character that is always very focus on how to win every race without whining, scapegoating his colleagues and making many beautiful excuses. It is indeed that 2012 is your year since you are so fortunate, you have been awarded from your rivals unreliability, several times that makes you only 3 points shy from the champion.

The best driver won the WDC... That is kind of the point of having the Drivers Championship after all...

Anyone that disagrees is basing their opinion solely outside the realm of the only objective measurement available (WDC points) and thus full of sh1t.

Alonso has the slowest car ,kimi has slowest car than Alonso's. If other thought he deserves then what will you say for his luck, like all rain favored gp won by alonso, what if that day if it doesn't rain .one thing sure good PR done by Alonso n co...my thinking KIMI,Poster,Periz,Nico ever Rosberg has less performing car and did better than this guy.

hey 107SS2009

as you know polls do not reflect facts

ask your self why does f1 run a full season of f1 racing across the world?? derr..

ans= to establish the best driver in f1 and best team.

and not for fools to say oh my poll says alfonso is the best becos he did nt win the wdc Get real accept who the best is VETTEL read my lips VETTEL..LOL

Vettel is not my favourite driver but why undermine his achievement with pathetic polls??

san. incorrect, in my opinion. the best driver does not always win the wdc. there have been many instances in the past where outstanding drivers have not been wdc. take for instance...stirling maoss, chris amon, jacky ickx etc. all drivers who were better than their competitors, yet due to car failures etc, were never wdcs. a driver who can take a non competitive car and make it win is sometimes a better driver than one who is in one of the top cars.
this is a poll of who the readers feel have performed better (or worse) than anticipated. leaving fanboy idolatory aside, there are some drivers in lousy cars who did not get many points, yet performed better than some at the mid to top. maldonado for example...he WON a race, yet is well down the list, possibly due to misdemeanours etc.

Correct call and i am neither for Alonso or Ferrari in terms of support. I could not help but admire the way Alonso tackled this season despite never really having the best car. He was consistent and pretty much always did better than the car warranted.
I do think Vettel should be higher but hey-h0, the poll was there for people to vote and this was the result
Happy New Year all, i have a 9 day old baby to celebrate and for sure he is gonna love his racing if his mum and dad are anything to go by :)
