Mansell was a top driver who smashed the Americans in their own backyards i think i read on here that he held the F1 tittle and the Indy tittle at the same time, wicked.

It will be at least a few years until a British driver will run down his 31 GP wins maybe with Lewis Hamilton being the favourite.

Good luck Nigel you and Lewis are the best of British

tewin. mansell won the 1992 f1 wdc. and was reigning champo when he went to indycar, which he won in 1993. even though he had sewn up the indycar title before the end of 1993, he was not officially the indy car 1993 champion until the end of 1993.

but some could argue that he was still the 1992 wdc in (say) nov 1993, and was indycar champion (elect)at the same time.

but he was not kept by frank due to his high demands. he got a bit too sure of his worth so had to go elsewhere!

Thanks for clarification richard. As for Frank and Nigel there was talk that Mansell was upset of not knowing who his teammate would be and when finding out it would be Prost who would be more of a challenge than Petrese he got scared and demanded silly money so to avoid a 93 WDC shoot out.

I have worked with this guy twice bfore once when he drove in the GP master's series then with the Beechdean LMP team. All I can say is you can multiply ever negative comment by at least ten. The guy is seriously Big headed, egotistical, Awkward and a generally unpleasent man to be around.

I can only assume all those posters who differ have never had the unfortunate job of working with him

Think the speed limit in Jersey is 30 mph so what sort of cars will he be selling ? electric ones ?
Oh and I can only agree with most of the comments on here. What a comlete to..er. Remember his pathetic Le Mans crash? Stopped the entire race for an hour whilst they lifted his inert body from the car. Turns out not a mark on him. Ridiculous drama queen. Always was.
