speedy. oh come on! the ferrari was never a pig of a car. isnt it possible that the results were coming DESPITE ferdi? after all, when massa got finally got the same car, he was faster tha ferdi, and look at how many people here downplay massas abilities.

yes, the ferrari had a few problems with tyres, but it was always in the hunt, and was faster than rbr in the early part of the season, yet rbr won the wdc and wcc.

I disagree with alonso coming out on top because of the number of fans.. because im a massive raikkonen fan and even I voted fernando top dog this year.. although kimi was awsome

Just for the record my personal favourite is Jenson, albeit that he did not have a stunning season. Been a fan of his for donkeys years. I'm hoping for more this year.
Ferrari designed a poor and then underdeveloped the car in the early part of the season. They then played catch up all year, yes the results were coming but the others were developing their own platforms just as quickly if not faster. A game of ever diminishing returns.
Massa is a great driver, I had faith in him all along, you are not talking to one of his detractors here!

Kimi fan, Yes he was awesome, great to have the Iceman back in the game.

Query to the high numbers quoted
- there only appears to be a pool of about twenty different registered names, of which a smaller cartel of 7 or 8 regularly post here
there also only seems to be about twenty or so unregistered names that appear and they oft quoted as multiple identities
Agrees/Disagrees come in flurries that only seem to reach forty or so max ever
make your own judgement

The big four, whom I regard as the best drivers, were 1, 2, 3, 4. Al, Kimi, Ham and Vet.

It's a matter of opinion, how much you like them, tints rosy specs, that makes the difference to your vote.

I'd switch Ham and Vet places. Poor old Ham just didn't get the chance to prove himself properly this year.

My personal likes - I love Vettel to bits and loved this year because he won. Kimi is a brilliant racer, for me strange attraction. Ham is also a brill racer but I don't like him. Alonso - outdid his car, to be admired, felt sorry for him pipped for the WDC by Vet yet again.

Next year will be interesting to see Ham in a lesser car, racing again.

As a Hamilton fan, this seems about right to me.
Alonso is top because of his spirited and determined fight in not the best Ferrari ever, which took the championship down to the wire against the might of the RB8.
Kimi 2nd because it was his first year back into the sport and into a new team and even in the Lotus, managed to beat 1 Red Bull, 1 Ferrari and both McLarens to take 3rd in the constructors just behind the 2 title contenders.
Then Hamilton who despite a few errors from the team and a car that let him down, drove extremely well, stayed out of trouble and actually got to win a few with the stand out race being Austin, Texas where he hunted down and beat Vettel.
And Vettel fourth because despite his achievements we are yet to see his ability to perform in a car that isn't the best on the grid. At the start of the season when the RB8 wasn't quite right in terms of their usual performance, Vettel's results were average.

Blah, blah, blah, Vettel has not displayed any talent? Really? In the event none of you watched this year, the RB8 was hardly the world beating car that the RB7 was. I suppose it is easier to discount Vettel because you don't respect him or you feel he is mocking with his finger. I guess Alonso did perform well in a car that was well beneath that of the HRT. His superior talent made that terrible red car look halfway respectable. I mean a teen driving a Reliant Robin would have easily outpaced the Ferrari, had it not been for Alonso. All hail Alonso! And yes my statement is ridiculous for effect, this how you Alonso fans sound to the rest of the fans. Simply ludicrous is the only description of the stupidity voiced on this site.

uncle sam. how true! the fact that seb didnt win in a poor rbr , is no worse than ferdi not winning in a poor ferrari, or schumi not winning in a poor merc, etc etc.
it takes the right combo to get the results, and a driver who works at getting the right combo deserves to be wdc. seb is the only one who perfected the combo.

and to the fifan, even when seb didnt win with the poor rbr, he was still ahead of his teammate.
