Dennis - 'We COULD have kept Hamilton..' what the heck is he talking about..? when Mclaren (according to media reports) matched the offer from Mercedes and Hamilton STILL walked. 2012 headlines read - speculation rife as Mclaren UPS offer in bid to keep Hamilton' Quote from article "McLaren has upped its offer to Lewis Hamilton in an attempt to dissuade him signing a deal with Mercedes for 2013" Honest Ron the used car salesman is a bald-faced liar., he has always been a liar that is why Mclaren culture is rife with lies such as the one that costRyan his job when Mclaren lied on Toyota in "Liegate' RonSpeak just continuing Mclaren tradition of lying in public they did everything they could in order to keep Hamilton .. yet they could not.

there seems to be a lot of different "facts" being quoted here. but you really need to dig down into the details, to find the real issues

in march, lulu went knocking on ferrari and red bull doors, and was sent packing

in may, he was in negotiations with merc

in september. whitmarsh (not ron) said there was no plan b.

in october when the moves were announced, perez said that he had been in discussions with mclaren for three months.

mclaren had talked to ferrari about releasing one of their acadamey drivers, and ferrari agreed.

ron stated that he had not talked to lulu for something like six months

so it seems as if lulu was looking for an out, found it, and macca were fully aware of the situation

yes, macca probably tried some last ditch attempt to retain lulu, but the writing was on the wall. lulu wanted out, and he took the only way open to him.

will it work? who knows, but lets wait and see.

Having been the one that originally said over here that Lulu “IS NOT FERRARI MATERIAL” I will repeat it again for you dumbo (not meant as an offensive term but as YOU being temporarily UNABLE to think and speak properly because of shock/surprise/anger.
What proof do you want better than Lulu having knocked on both FERRARI and RBR doors and being rejected by both and having then to fall on a 3rd preferred chose.

Lewis Hamilton 'could have' had a shot at the WDC too. Sorry Ron, you guys are to big for your own britches, prepare to be owned by Ferrari and RedBull next year, better hope Mercedes dont figure out how to make the tires last.

Sunny, anyone could be Ferrari material. They hired Alonso didn't they?? They apparently lowered the bar for being a Ferrari driver at that point. So keep spinning that spin you spin. Luca even said he would take Vettel or Hamilton but preferred Seb.
