It's a shame to see drivers like Kobyashi and Kovalainen without a drive. Both are more than worthy of a place in F1, and once you're out it's very hard to get back in.

rjbetty, Vitaly beat Heidfeld because he drove in nearly double the number of races. plus Nicks car had been coated in a special petrol based paint by fat eric...
In races where they both finished NH finished ahead of VP 5-2.

I would like Kovalainen to stay, as he has shown loyalty knowing he was in a new 'poor' team with not much chance of success. Petrov only got 11th due to the incident right at the end in Brazil, so was in that position by default. And if I remember, the team totally stuffed up Heikki's pit stops.

If Bruno was any good he wouldn't be having to drive for a different team every year. I mean, how many drivers can say they've been driving in F1 for 3 years and driven for 3 teams in 3 years?

Everywhere I post that Vitaly did a better job than Heikki I get lots of disagreements.

Vitaly evenhandedly beat Kovalainen, yet everyone is lamenting about the fact Kovalainen deserves the drive more!?! Besides the last race where Vitaly finished 11th, he also finished ahead of Heikki in the majority of races as well. Go back and back track o double check.

Heikki was even beat by Pic and Glock from Marussia. For those who still disagree, you can do so, but you still can't change the facts.

@ thetruth, so what is complicated about the facts that I'm making it too simplistic. I think you should give your thoughts as I have done.

Kovalainen has been in the team 3 years, and has been getting a salary, he also is the main developer of the car as their lead driver. He's a race winner in his prime, and has been in F1 twice as long as Petrov. Kovalainen was even beat rookie Charles Pic in the Marussia. Never mind that the team counted on him to score this year.

Petrov had to pay to drive for the team. But this year he made more money for the team than Kovalainen. More often than not he finished ahead of Kovalainen. He has less experience, he was not getting the performance upgrades as early as Heikki. Yet he finished highest among the new team drivers.

Given the results Petrov was getting, the team believes that Heikki should have been able to score at least 1 single point. But he never managed to do so

thats a good summary. If I was team boss I'd have been thinking about moving HK on despite the fact that he's a likeavle chap. And from a fan's POV, VP does seem to get where the action is - he's been a real feature in two of the last three years' last races for example, once with good attack and once with good defence (lol FA)
