Sir Jackie Stewart has said that he'd like to see the first grand prix host return to the schedule 'sooner or later'.

Though I think 20 races is far too busy..... if there is a chance for another circuit to fill up the gap. I would much prefer to see it take place in either France or Magny Cours! Istanbul is a fantastic circuit, but the atmosphere is dead there!

I'd love to see how the F1 circus can handle KERS and DRS at a different place like Magny Cours or better yet.... A1 Ring!!!

The lack of a French GP is a disgrace. The four nations that drove motor sport in the early days were France, Germany, UK & Italy. There should always be a race in these countries, but especially in France, the country that can truly claim to have created this sport.

And James, I agree. A Maximum of 18. And no more Tilke designed circuits, for pity's sake.

The French GP isn't likely to return this season unless we have a financial deus ex machina happening very soon.

A bit sad for the country and the sport especially given the importance of promoting the automotive industry in this recovery era and despite the current disdain in some circles who know better for the good people...

Actually Magny-Cours should give some good races given the KERS and DRS spec before Adelaide hairpin and the fact that the track is very sensitive to tyre condition. There would be significant differences with the Pirellis.

Unfortunately Bernie will always chase the money and not the heritage, he'd have a race in Mongolia if they built a circuit and paid him enough.

If there are so many circuits wanting to host a race they could alternate, it would certainly be good to see some of the old great tracks back.

We have three French drivers and they don't even get the chance to race infront of their home crowd. I would really love to see a French grand prix, I really would.
