F1 » POLL: Who is most likely to break his F1 duck in 2013?

Winning a grand prix puts a driver in fairly exclusive company, but can a new name breakthrough and reach the top step in 2013?

If I were in Vegas, I'd put my money on Perez.
McLaren car's are usually fast out of the box, while their competitors tend to be a bit slower into developing their racers through the season.

Perez, should have the car to win races, but im unconvinced after his post Monza races. He also wont be able to do run the odd strategys, thanks to Saubers tire friendly nature.

Grosjean, not sure if Lotus has enough pace and given that Raikkonen is typically much faster. Also depends if he manages to finish the first lap often.

Doubt either Williams or Sauber will have the pace to win.

Bring the weather into play thou, all bets are off

Although in our hearts we would all like to see another new name on the winners trophy one driver will totally dominate the 2013 season, with 19 pole positions, 19 fastest laps 19 wins and a stunning 475 points total.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you.................

I would suspect Perez has the best shot of having a car that's consistently competitive enough to challenge at the front. Whether or not he can pull it off is another matter, but he certainly had some impressive drives in 2012. I'd hate to see him on his way to his first win only to have the McLaren fall apart. Grosjean would be next in line I think. In both cases, if they're given a properly competitive car... their more experienced team mates have it too. Of course, there's always wet weather to factor in (and Perez nearly did it for Sauber in Malaysia), and things like tyre oddities, penalties and retirements.

Those calling Perez a 'No 2' driver will be in for quite a shock.
Button was never that quick to begin with. He won at McLaren because of good tire management and good team strategies, remind you of anyone ?? ... Perez HAS the same qualities AND is younger and quicker.
I predict Perez will out-qualify and out-perform Button winning a minimum of 3 races.

Woah! Who are these buboons thinking Di Resta will break his duck?! Bull****!! Force India have only ever on 2 exceptional occasions ever had the pac to challenge for race victories, and in Brazil last year, Paul was not the FI driver taking advantage of that...

I come from britain and I say that di Resta is mediocre! Victory? NEVER (At least while he's still at FI)

Perez? Likely - The McLaren is likely to be competetive and the team are known for having a more equal driver policy in terms of Number One and Number Two than, say, Ferrari...

Hulkenberg? He has the talent - it depends on what kind of a car Sauber produces - in any case it's gonna be a long shot.

Grosjean? He could've in Valencia last year if it weren't for that alternator, so he has the potential - If the Lotus is as strong (or stronger) than it was last year, then he has a chance (if he doesn't get sacked mid-season for crashing...)

Bottas? Puh-lease! If that happens I'll eat my "KIMI SAYS LEAVE ME ALONE" T-Shirt!!
