@ ghog You have really low expectations. Shouldn't Mclaren be concentrating on stuffing Redbull & Ferrari. Mercedes came in 5th in the constructors title. They're almost like a midfield team. I always considered Mclaren a top team. I guess I was wrong.

I have always respected Mclaren on their policy regards racing on equal terms, as i believe it is good for F1 fans to watch two drivers in the same machinery racing with no team orders.

Unfortunately i must agree with Liam48 this policy has not given the Mclaren team much success in the last few years especially in 2007.

@pole position - you always call jenson Button, a WDC, winner of 15GPs, 12 year F1 career, an average driver. Last year he out drove Lewis by a country mile. So what does that make Lewis? At the very least, Lewis can't be all you make him out to be if he can be beaten by an 'average' driver!

Can't have it both ways broseph!

I envisage a scenario where Perez comes in all guns blazing, trying to win the first few races and thinking he'll just blow Jenson away. Then he'll realise that the pressure and expectation of gunning for a WDC is tougher than it appears on the outside. Would he be able to keep up the optimum performances for race after race, especially with the car let-downs and pile-ups that happen...and the intensity of getting off the first or second row every race? And that is where Jenson's experience will probably catch up with him...never mind the no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners attitude of Vettel and Alonso up ahead! This will be the making or breaking of Perez, to show us whether he's the real deal...or not...
