So glad that F1 is a sport, and a technical one at that, and not soap opera as Alonso would have run away with it otherwise...

He is being paid to win races, not pass comments. The last two races of 2012, when he was required to win, he didn't deliver. He was behind Massa in performance in those two for crying out loud....

Let's look at history, pure simple facts..
2007- Raikonnen was required to win races and the last race, he won...Alonso and Lewis was required to finish in certain positions, they both did not
2008- Massa was required to win the last race, he did..Lewis was required to finish in a certain position, he did too..
2010 - Seb was required to win the last race, he did. Alonso/Lewis/Webber was required to finish in certain positions, they did not
2012- Seb was required to finish in certain position, he did...Alonso was required to win/finish in certain position, he did not...

As a hard core tifosi for life, hoping that Alonso leaves the Red stable sooner than later befo

@NomiShah He might be a driver, but he is also a representative of Ferrari and F1 more generally. If his job was only to drive then there would be no such thing as driver interviews, or even driver names in motor sport which would be ridiculous in a society where names and personalities sell products. The idea that Vettel, or any other driver for that matter, hasn't played politics at all is naive.

He gets called a big mouth and the best he can come back with is he's flattred. I am sure Luca will now call upon the team to champion his honor. All talk and little action wasn't it Alonso. His words

F1....it was only all the shouting from FA and Ferrari that lead you to believe he was pulling miracles from a donkey.
Massa was beating him with the same car to end the year.

For sure Marko or Red Bull expect Ferrari to be a main competitor again. What else would they expect ? Ferrari says they owe it to themself to fight for the title every year. Is Alonso at it again downplaying his chances to fight with Red Bull and McLaren on a level playing field ?
