F1 » Hamilton exit good for Button, says Brundle

Martin Brundle has said that Lewis Hamilton's exit from McLaren is good news for Jenson Button, even though he still expects Hamilton to win races during the 2013 season.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Paul Di Resta out of f1 at the end of 2013. He seems handy on occasion, but I don't see that 'x' factor in him. There are better drivers out there without a seat.

"The fastest driver in the world" hasnt won much in the last few years, has he ?
Agree with Justin regarding Di Resta. Last chance saloon for him. Too steady. Theres a few others that are probably looking at their final chance too. Rosberg, Webber, Massa for example.

Not sure that it will make any difference at all, Button said he went to McClaren to
match himself against Hamilton knowing that Hamilton was a much faster driver over a single lap. I don't think he has come out of things too badly, he always raced better than he qualifies and that's something he needs to get sorted. The likelyhood is that there will be little between Button and Perez and Button will need to be at 100% to get the better of him.

If Hamilton is so fast, why has he got only 1 pole position in 2010 and 2011 each and just one more than Vettel in 2012 when Hamilton had the fastest car ? When Vettel had the fastest car in 2010 and 2011 he wasnt so generous with sharing pp around. As always Hamilton is overrated by the british media. As for winning with Merc, Rosberg has done it already last year and Schumi had the speed in Monaco to win as well. Sorry but a Hamilton win in 2013 proves nothing !

But if he fails to win a race the excuses again will be interesting ......
