Sean,

Every dog has its day and Bernie did great things, but there comes a time...(to use Neil Young's words). Bernie is rapidly becoming yesterday's man, and the world of F1 needs to find a modern day wiley Bernie Junior to replace the old boy.

As Steve Jobs said philosophically about death, 'it's life's renewal agent' which is so fundamental to the continuing evolution and betterment of the species. F1 (like life) needs renewal at the top to keep it strong.
