@Liam48 ,Jenson manifestly fell off the cliff last season with his setups, and only began to slowly make progress after using Hamilton's. If it's always so routine to share and use that information, why was this such a huge talking point last year?
McLaren, especially under Whitmarsh is especially adept at PR.

I think it's an interesting partnership. Perez has the speed, can he develop the consistency. He's still so young so I hope everyone gives him time to work things out.

I hope Jenson isn't going to say Vodafone McLaren Mercedes every time he talks about the team. We get it! McLaren, sponsored by Vodafone, using Mercedes engines...enough already!

Hit the nail on the head... But it was the Lulu fanboys that made it unbearable.
Jenson fans generally didn't say too much in 2011 UNTIL Lewis fans started blaming EVERYONE ELSE for his crashes. (Most notably Whitmarsh). Then Jenson had a bad run and it was "That useless driver bla bla bla...".

Point is, everyone and anyone can hit an off patch, I think Jenson will be right on it that year, and I think him and Checo could very well work in the same direction and both be quick. I also wouldn't be surprised if Lewis won a race or two, he is quick.

@TheTruth, For your enlightenment, some of last summers headlines.
Crash.net. Button aiming to bounce back after Canada. "I'm confused and very lost," Button said after the Canadian Grand Prix. "I just didn't have any pace and couldn't look after the tyres. I'm not two seconds slower than Lewis. I don't know what's going on."
So what did he do...
Mail Online, "Button logs into Lewis' winning formula as he looks to end his barren run in Valencia...Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery but it remains to seen whether Lewis Hamilton views matters quite so philosophically... In a bid to cure the technical issues which have led to Button struggles with his tyres, the 2009 world champion will use his team mate's setup data.
Sporting Life, August 22 2012," Jenson Button admits he was lost on car setup during his dismal run of form between the Chinese and German Grand Prix."

I do hope your better informed now.

@cookie - "jenson's problem is he has only 2 or 3 good races a year since he started...."

What absolute rubbish! Last year Button had nine podiums including 3 wins and 4 2nd places. The lowest he finished was 6th. In 2010 he had seven podiums including 3 wins and 3 2nd places.

Another classic example of someone taking a view about a driver and just ignoring reality when it doesn't fit that view!
