As long as you keep up your excellent form from the end of last season, I have no doubts you will Filipe.

Well, I guess you'll have to develop 'radio problems' as well - just so you don't hear the order to pull over and let wonder boy through...

All sounds good in theory but based on what Ferrari have already said, the team is focused on winning the championship for Alonso. There is no doubt that one of the reason Felippe got resigned was because he has accepted his role is to support Alonso.

@ blublz ... Incorrect there mate ... Alonso saidthat he as the most complete driver, ... he would be laughed out of the place considering that Mercedes don't, and wonthave a car capable o fighting for the championship this year, although, that said, it should be better than last year ... but how manytimes have we heard that now? ...

Come March 17, Felipe Massa will resume his role as Alonso's tow, wing man, penalty wrap man or whatever else is asked of him to get Alonso extra points. I just wonder what on earth is being said to Massa. Is he just been strung along,the carrot being, if you can improve your performance we will give you all the support you need to win the championship?
There's only two reasons for Massa to be kept in that second Ferrari. Support Alonso, and keep ratcheting up some useful constructors points. If Massa has any other ambitions, he is driving in the wrong team.

I think that's too harsh to say really. It's all in his hands. The thing is, nobody at this point really expects him to beat Alonso. That goes for people inside the team as well.

Felipe is well respected, he's shown what he can do, but Alonso is a superstar, a multiple world champion. I think most people would say that the best you can expect from Felipe is to perform close to Alonso's level. But at the same time, he has the same car. If he was to start the season by regularly beating Alonso he would earn the support for his championship bid.

There are many conspiracy theories out there but in reality, I don't think any team would deliberately sabotage their highest-scoring driver. He did beat Kimi, remember? And the year after Kimi won the WDC too. Don't you think realistically, Kimi was considered the lead driver in the team in the beginning of the season then?

yes Massa you can win but you won't. your teammatte will make sure you get new parts only after 2 or 3 races and by then he will have even better parts and if Dominicalli tries to say something he will tell Dominicalli to shut the f* up!

@sodesu ,
You give a balanced view. I also agree with your thoughts on Kimi.
The pressure eased somewhat from Massa at the end of last season. But it won't take much for him to be back in the position he was in last year, with so many calling for him to get the chop. Don't you think he would be better in another team when the status quo would not be so weighted against him?
