Why why do we have so many haters?

JB can do the job when the car is set to his style. Yes he lacks that aggressive driving form from the likes of Lewis ect.

The funny thing I find is guys always compare JB to Lewis. You can't do that two totally different drivers and this showed when coming to set-up on the car. At the start of the session the car was and must have been set-up for JB as he showed with the first win of the session. Soon after they change the car and this went to Lewis driving style.

The team had a difficult problem with which driver to follow on set-up and to me they seemed to follow Lewis more which didn't suit JB.

Now they have lost Lewis this can only be a good thing. They now have a second driver with smooth style driving. So the car will be based on JB driving style.

I think the team have made a mistake with Checo and should have had the Scott (Paul)
But never mind both drivers are very smooth.

Anyway can't wait for the new session it going to be a hard long

It is always about the car. Just look at where the teams focus their time and money. At this level of competition, almost any driver is capable of winning the championship. Give any one of these drivers a car that suits his driving style and is bulletproof, they will win races.

Assuming that McClaren come up with a car that suits him then Button can do the job, but how likely is it that they can produce a car with the advantage that the Brawn had in the first half of 2009, not very likely in my opinion. They have produced fast but erratic cars thet suit at one circuit but not at another, they also have the problems of unrealibility and poor tactics to address. In addition they need to get Perez up to speed so my best guess is that Button will flatter to deceive once again with both the contructors and drivers championship being between Red Bull and Ferrari with hopefully Lotus and Raikonnen pushing them hard. The cream will come to the top and Vettel and Alonso together with Hamilton are the best in F1 and I don't think Button will get near to them on a regular basis unless he has a huge car advantage.

@Terminator, The fastest car does not mean its a good car for JB,"This car hasn't suited me as well as McLaren's last two". Making the 2012 car the worst he has driven at Mclaren. No wonder he has put them on notice!

@nickfox, di resta over perez!!! Really! A driver whose never beaten his team mate in F1 . . . JB had a car that suited him in 2011with the blown exhaust system and finished 'over' 100 points behind the winner, I've got nothing against jb but l remember him complaining about balance in belgium, before the team told him to 'chill, your three quarters of a second ahead of everyone else'. And as for comparing him to Lewis Hamilton, as team mates, Hamilton was the only person he could be compared to. Not 'hate', just an opinion

elijah, before the season started last year button said that the team was asking him for ALL the input on the new car. And that he was building the team around himself. So he must have developed a car that he couldn't use.

McLaren made a gaffe on Facebook when they wished Jenson Button happy birthday when he turned 33 on 19 January, but erroneously posted a action photo of Lewis Hamilton instead of the birthday boy.

Is the team already missing Lewis?

@rob01 ,sure looks like it. His Achilles heel seams to have a reliance on other drivers setup ability to get the best out of the car. As we saw in 2012 with Lewis, and maybe hinted at in 2009 his title winning year.
