Funniest statement I have heard in a while, come on lets be realistic about this. Unless McLaren have come up with a new hidden blown diffuser your chances of winning the title are very slim. Its going to be a interesting season at McLaren & my monies on Perez!

Perez will first need to learn how to run at the front of the grid. Button has proven he can do that. I see no problems for Jenson staying ahead of his team mate. For sure with the tires Pirelli will be supplying next year.

@blublz. Yes agreed Paul haven't been as good as his team mate at the end of the season but if you look Back Paul has Beat his team mate at the first 7 races. The end of the season not so good.

Checo good but can he keep out of trouble I'm not so sure

@nickfox, don't you think his record (PdR) in the first half of the year seems to have a similar pattern to the previous year against Sutil, either way its going to be interesting times at McLaren, I just don't subscribe to the assumption that Perez will struggle against JB, nice stats though (eventually lol)

There's a lot of good posts on this site but when it comes to Hamilton & Button, especially Button....forget it! And it's the Hamilton fans with the blinkers on who show their abject ignorance of this sport. Blind to Lewis's failings, blind to jenson's talent!

Great drives don't always result in wins. Some of Buttons best drives these past three years have been podiums, no more. Italy 2010, completely different set-up, nearly beat the Ferraris when he had no right to be even close. Monaco 2011, was uber fast and could have won that race but for safely cars and re-starts. But the haters won't see it....

And the idea that Brazil 2012 was inherited is ridiculous. He and Hulkenberg were 40 seconds ahead of Lewis before the safety car, who's to say he wouldn't have caught and passed Lewis (again) to win that race?

lewis was mclarens baby and make no bones about it lewis will of had better equipment than jenson..now lewis as gone if mclaren give jenson that extra over perez and the cars to jensons liking he will be a force to be reckoned with throughout 2013.. but jenson will have to improve his qualifying. x x

They made a mistake not signing up Kimi.

Perez just showed he got lucky one race but is mostly useless and Button has never been number one but a top points scorer.

McLaren having Button and Kimi could be WCC as they're both top scorers. Where as with Perez........... they've just handed it away already.
