Well of course he's back tracking. Doesn't look very good if your lead driver is saying the car is crap - not exactly going to make the sponsors happy either. A gentle word in your ear old chap - we pay your over inflated salary now so could you possibly be a bit more positive about our chances even if you don't really believe it.

This article title is mis-leadiing.. Hamilton has been very careful and measured in his comments all along.. never being pessimistic but I thought Very realistic when did he ever talk about 'beating' Mclaren and Redbull.. I must have missed something.

If Ross Brawn hasn't sorted out their lack of speed there must be something or somebody at Merc that needs sorting out. Until that is done they will stay out of the top group.
