Mexico is keen to secure a place on next year's F1 calendar, despite concerns over the state of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

I don't know about you guys, but I approve of the idea to bring back the Mexican GP - It's one of the (slightly) more traditional circuits that was on the F1 calander from the 60's to the 90's.

Having said that, my defining image of the circuit is Senna's spectacular shunt there... :p

That could possibly give the Americas 5 F1 grand prix.
The last Champ Car race of the 2007 season was there. Bourdais won in spectacular fashion ahead of Will Power. Boudais had no push to pass left (he had been penalyzed by being given less) but Power had plenty. But somehow Will Power was never able to go flat out in the corners, but Bourdais could, and that's how he made his speed.

I miss the Champ Car Panoz chassis. Much better looking than anything Indy has had.

There was also Grand Am drivers that had a fist fight on the circuit under yellow flag, right after crashing. I think that was in 2008.

If it does return to the old circuit, I hope they leave the final turn in it's original state. Bumpy, exciting, extremely fast and caught out even the very best.

Great race to add though, motorsport in South America would get a huge boost by adding this and the Argentina motogp race in 2014.

I just hope they get rid of one of the really boring tracks cough cough Bahrain.

If they do it I hope they retain the same layout as in the 80s-90s. Get rid of the stadium complex and build state of the art facilities and repave the track. The fans there are true fanatics and am sure it would bring in 200-300,000 fans easy with two Mexican GP drivers. However 2014 seems unlikely. 2016 more feasible.

A fantastic circuit, as others have said one of the classics and I would enjoy watching that race. However, I don't think F1 should be going to countries like this. Their human rights record is shocking. Dead bodies hanging from bridges, truck loads of bodies dumped in the street as warnings, corruption, those that stand up get murdered by the cartels. The world of F1 should not be associated with such corrupt countries, sends a bad message. South Africa were exiled from the world for a long time because of their beliefs.

The best memory from this track is Nigel Mansell in Ferrari passing Gerhard Berger from the outside on the last lap in the last corner. That was just incredible!
