My take only on both Lulu's chances of success at Mercedes and the de facto situation at Mercedes, it should be noted that this is nothing more than my opinion for which we all come on here to express and that my credentials are those of only an avid long standing follower of anything to do with F1.
Lulu, contrary to appearance/s and things said or will be said he is certainly starting off into a team who is in total disruption and so with a totally disrupted equilibrium, I will venture to say that Mercedes is being plunged into turmoil, and that if Brawn ever goes to mclaren (which I personally doubt) that would certainly put Lulu into one of the biggest tailspins an F1 ever had.

Brawn has been horrible at Merc. It would put me in a tail spin if anyone would actually sign up for his services. Under his reign, Michael was Pushed to the curb for pick up.

Lulu is a great driver and will extract the absolute maximum from the car every race :)

His chances of success depend entirely on the car and how Mercedes sort themselves out, if they manage to do that! :p

As regards Ross Brawn, regardless of the ups and downs (who don't have them or went thru them?) it will be hard indeed to come with a more highly regarded esteemed name in the whole pit lane.
As to Lulu's chances of success, they certainly doesn't look bright at the time being.
