Spain's youth unemployment is at truly horrific levels and unemployment in general, think they have bigger worries that a GP circuit been unmaintained.

It was a boring GP and won't be missed.

Sadly it was never going to be a success. Another example of politicians spending taxpayers money on vanity projects.

I have some Spanish friends, who live in Valencia, who bought tickets for the first GP and reported that even then the stands were half empty. Spain loves bike racing and football, with F1 coming way down the list. As Spain has several excellent bike circuits, I can't see anyone wanting to invest in this white elephant.

the valencia area was developed for the americas cup, and was intended to be the venue for some considerable time. however, the americans re-interpreted the rules, allowing them to take back the cup, so there is not so much interest in the valencia docks. understandable why the area is now run down. nothing there!

I never understood the point of the street race here anyway, when there is a perfectly good race track just outside the city.

Most F1 teams have tested there in the past anyway, so it is already upto F1 testing standards.

Surely one of the most boring circuits visually and otherwise - Driving round a trading estate springs to mind. And they got rid of the brilliant track in Turkey. Unbelievable. I wonder who,s to blame ?
