Well why shouldn't he be? I am surprised at the amount of people who don't seem to realise that CEO, Team Principal, Sporting Director and Technical Director are completely different jobs and responsibilities. The real mystery for me is WTH they want Lauda to do...

@Rob01

Think that's wishful thinking. Pretty sure Lauda will poke his nose into the running of the team, driver issues etc, he's got form.

Rob, really, I wasn't yelling, but, don't fool me, you are only fooling yourself by being sure of things.
“I want to see how things go before committing myself long term”.
Brawn knows for sure/for a fact that the new incoming “Toto” camp tried to poach Lowe and that cannot but mean (to take over from him).
One thing I am sure off, as far as I been following Brawn in F1 I don't recollect that there was ever anybody and that includes teams that ever had the last laugh in any conflicts of any sorts with him.

Brawn and Toto might work together at Mercedes as long as Toto keeps the right distance away from Brawn, but if Mercedes doesn't manage to keep Lauda at least a kilometre away from Brawn and that includes Brawn's hearing distance there is no way that Brawn will work with Lauda taking Lauda's track record of his famous abilities of barbs and management handlings of things.

sunny. see autosport and lulus comments there. brawn says he is not going, but i would imagine that if toto says "out", then brawn will have no option!
in my opinion, there are too many people "in charge" and to have so much disruption just as the season is about to start, must be very unsettling.

all this team upheavel should have been completed at least six months ago, that is unless these are the steps for 2014, in which case, there will be even more changes. 2013 at merc could be VERY interesting!
