isn't that funny? on sunday, ferdi was saying that he needed more testing, yet here he is declining to test. i would have thought that the more he could handle the car, the better he would be at the start of the season. however, ferdis loss may well be flip's gain

sunny. it is on all the sites...ferdi decided that he wants to intensify his personal training. autosport have an analysis. i doubt very much that de montezemelo told him not to turn up but to go and do some training. after ferdis comments the other day, where he was bemoaning the lack of testing, he certainly would not be happy to be told that he was not going to be allowed to drive the car in first test. therefore, it must be taken that it was HIS decision.

Maybe Ferrari figures that if Massa can deal with it then Alonso can do well with it.

Maybe Alonso just doesn't see the point in spending his time testing what is more than likely going to be a pig of a car.

Maybe schmaybe who cares. Let's just hope that they get it sorted before the season starts.

The first test is never much more than a shakedown and reliability testing anyway. The real testing is done in the second and third test.

First couple days just a shakedown and vital parts testing... times are not relevant... then comes Fernando and does some tweaking and posts best Ferrari times... hero again...
It's all marketing...

What I found a bit weird was that during O Desafio das Estrelas Massa's kart was carrying all major Ferrari sponsors even the colors of Ferrari but Alonso's kart was blue and yellow and not even a single sponsor on his helmet clothing or on the kart. Santander was the main sponsor of the event so I'm not sure what's going on. Alonso and Domenicalli are supposedly hardly talking with each other also so something is definitely wrong.
