The first Russian Grand Prix gets a November date according to the mayor of Sochi

It's a real geography test for anyone not from Russia to try and guess the climatic conditions of a Russian city. Sochi hasn't been chosen to host a GP "just cos", you know. You ever been to Greece or Croatia? Well, Sochi has Mediterranean climate, meaning that in November the temperature's going to be around 16-20 C'.

No bears for spectators and no vodka, communism or any other stupid crap that everyone thinks about, should the talks turn towards Russia.

Apparently they're working on a design for the Sochi GP mascot. They tried making one of those traditional Russian dolls of Bernie, which has a smaller one inside, and a smaller one inside that. They got to the third level but it couldn't be seen by the naked eye, so they scrapped it...
