Multiple Paralympic gold medallist and former F1 driver Alex Zanardi paid a flying visit to Ferraru as the Scuderia continued to prepare for the forthcoming season.

By far the fastest champ car driver, an absolute Gilles Villeneuve kind of driver with loads of panache and oversteer. Great shame this style never suited the thin grooved F1 tyres of the 1999 Williams.
Winning at World Touring cars with no legs made me marvel at his astonishing determination, and his olympic gold medals make him a truly unique driver !

His overtaking at the corkscrew of Brian Herta was something else.He is a role model for all of us. Even Ralf Schumacher ( not noted for being chummy ) had nothing but praise for Alex when they were team mates at Williams . If anybody ever deserved a major film made about his life it must be Alex
