Lotus driver Romain Grosjean has revealed that he sought psychological help to get him over a series of on-track incidents in 2012 that left him branded a "first-lap nutcase" by Mark Webber.

There is so much expectation these days. I think RG is very talented and sure he drove into too many people last year, but he is a young kid and he is very fast. It used to be part of the expectation that young guys will crash.

Give him the time to grow out if it and you'll have a very very good racing driver. Lots of great drivers went through similar, Mika Hakkinen springs to mind. Irvine was another who hit too many people as a young driver but came good.

Give him time. I'd rather have RG than another bloody pay driver.
