F1 » Force India choice down to Bianchi and Sutil?

With Paul di Resta the sole driver at the official Force India car launch on Friday at Silverstone, speculation about who else will be driving for the team narrowed to Jules Bianchi and Adrian Sutil.

Bianchi and Sutil may be appointed as leading contenders but that doesn't mean they are better than Senna. If Force India wants podiums or more should hire Senna, as he is as fast and consistent as Di Resta and will be really fast also in qualifying with 2013 tyres (with a wider performance range, easier to warm). Also he can only improve in a second full season, mainly if he has as much track time as others.

I am sorry but Sutil is better than Senna. Sutil is underrated and over hated. I remember thinking more than a few times in 2010/2011 that in a top car he would have won. Spa 2010 comes to mind.

I may read too much into this but the fact that the second driver wasn't there when the car was unveiled seems to indicate that Bianchi may get the drive since he was at the Ferrari inauguration on the same day.

If Force India had appointed another driver, he would have been there. Or FI might just be pondering who is second and who is third...

soaum...Ferrari have supplied engines to ForceI before. Force never paid for them. Ferrari took Fisi away from FI on a moments notice. If Ferrari wants Bianchi and the engines at ForceI then it will ALL be up to Ferrari. So the deal will go hand in hand. Not one without the other.

Soaum, Sutil had 5 full seasons to develop with stability, always in the same team. Senna had only a proper full season in F1 and may have more long term potential than Sutil. Also I don't believe Sutil will do better than Senna after a year out of racing.

Jules Bianchi will get the seat and I'm sure he will have good results. Senna isn't a good driver and I don't think is a serious candidate for Force India seat. Senna is not a consistent driver and he wouldn't be capable of strong results he would bring down the team .

Can't see how you could say Senna is a better driver than Sutil, despite the fact that I think Sutil has no judgment and is so far up himself that any team that signs him up will get what they deserve.
