Mark Webber has firmly shut the door on the criticism he received last month from Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko, and got the firm backing of team principal Christian Horner on Sunday.

People love to run Webber down, but Horner is right - you could do a whole lot worse to have Mark Webber as your #2 driver. In my opinion, outside of Red Bull and Ferrari, he could contend for the #1 spot in any other team. He delivers points, he delivers wins, and that's what Red Bull wants. Whether he is supported in a title bid really depends on him - he needs to create CLEAR separation between himself and Vettel for it to happen, but I have no doubt that the team would support him if he managed to do that. However, this will have to be the season that he finally sorts out his starting issues...otherwise, I think he'll retire having never won a championship. No shame in it, the list of F1 drivers that never won a title is pretty long.
