F1 » Boullier: Lotus success would be good for F1


Lotus team principal Eric Boullier reckons success for the Enstone team would send a message to F1's bigger teams.

Tubby - We also saw Massa receiving upgrades before Alonso in 2012. Does this mean he's the favoured driver? Obviously not. One driver receiving updates before another doesn't necessarily equal favouritism. It could be various things, e.g. The driver not receiving the update may have elected to stick with what they know and are comfortable with. They may have tested them in FP and not liked the result. The team might choose to stick the lower performing driver with the updates basically as a race length test, in case it in fact doesn't work out as planned. Etc. etc.
