The problem is not that the old racers are getting the boot, the problem is level of the riders coming in. This is THE series in 4 wheel racing, I want to see the best riders out there, not Max Chiltons who have the money to do it...

Yes we need the new blood, problem being who are they going to learn from if all the older experienced drivers are dropped because they are no longer financially viable?
Next WDC 16 years old, lots of financial backing, crashes every race but comes out on top with 10 points for the whole season!!

So Martin thinks the new drivers comming in are better than those without a drive, I have to say I don't. None have enough experience for a start, F1 is the top level of 4 wheeled racing in the world but we are not seeing the top drivers behind the wheel.

Drivers have always been dropped but it used to be for someone with more talent not more money. Unfortunately F1 is heading in to an era with two distinct levels, the have talent and lots of money and those with little talent and enough money to buy a drive. The people buying in now will be gone within a couple of seasons to be replaced by even more less well known no hopers with rich dads and good backing. I suppose it has to happen otherwise F1 will dissapear up it's own exhaust pipe but I thought it was supposed to be the pinnacle of motosport, I can only imagine what everyone would say if all the Manchester United players had to pay to play each week.

With all the
talk the about pay drivers, it will be interesting to see which ones are still in F1 in 5 years time?
Maybe with some of the lower teams having money problems its time to go back in time, and let teams run just one car, or let new teams onto the grid with just one car maybe!!!
