I still expect the Mercedes to be at least half a second per lap slower than the fastest car in Australia. But with any luck they could be less than a second slower, and in with a chance of developing closer. They could get a win or two this season.

Rob, yes, I place great value on testing, and yes the Mercedes was the fastest today by 007 of second.
We will have to wait and see who comes out on top from this place/test after testing is done with.

mercedes are the fastest car on the grid now because testing times mean everything even if they are slower then last year.

on a serious note anyone remember Bmw sauber in 2008, sand bagged the entire winter said they failed in development came to melbourne and were are front runner right from the get go.
