Hamilton told the press ( i read in the German news today )
"I love racing in the rain but i see testing in the rain as just an unnecessery risk and waste of time"
He goes on saying the Vettel and Alonso are saying that the Mercedes could fight for the title, but he sees that as really impossible at the moment
"The best part of our car is the engine, the output is the weakest,..we are lagging 2 sec behind, same as last year in competition."
This last was a bit confusing because he was talking about time gained and lost and gained again and the translation was not completely clear to me in this bit end. Cheers, Enrico

Watching Lewis's interview on sky he was quite adamant that the WO4 was not ready to challenge the top teams and when asked how it compared to the Mclaren's MP4-27 he said it wasn't as quick and that the WO4 lacked down force. So if the mp4-28 has gained a second compared to last years car then the Mercs are a way behind.

Karun Chandhok who was a guest on the f1 show on Sky along with Crofty believes Lewis maybe sandbagging, who Knows.

Not surprised Vettel and Alonso thinks Lewis is a threat although he will be in a less performing car as both drivers have been a victim of the talents of Lewis when in similar or identical cars f1 2007 and f3 2005 comes to mind.

hope mercades are sandbagging coz these tests are showing they are behind altho i dont know for sure if hammi was in a fast car im sure he would want to top the timing sheet testing or not. but who knows if his bin told to sandbag or they are not running full power altho i think they would want to test the full power of the merc or testing is pointless lol

Enrico said or having been quoting Lulu “the best part of our car is the engine, the output is the weakest” this may sound totally confusing to many on this site not up to speed with the latest technical developments in F1, but everybody should be assured that the quoting/what Lulu said is most probably very much correct namely that (the engine that has been reputed to have the best power output on the grid) has now been forced to produce the least power output of all on the grid.
The technical explanation for all this is very simple if one follows the latest exhaust system developments.

I have studied the times, tyres and team comments and I think Merc will be within half a second of pole at Melbourne, vote me down after qualifying. :)

He is definitely downplaying his chances so that he reduces the pressure of expectation. The car seems to be on par with Ferrari, RBR, Lotus and McLaren. It will be a very close season with not much separating those teams and Mercedes will be in the mix.

I can't wait to see Jenson in the podium and hear lewser cry on the radio and tweet his telemetry again blaming the car and his team for how slow he has.

Too bad, rosberg will outshine lewser just like what he did to scammacher.

Seriously, he is the most ovveratted driver and even with the fastest car(like on 2012), he still failed to win the championship.

Vettel and Alonso are the best drivers and that is a fact.

If it weren't for Ron Dennis sabotaging Alonso in 2007, he would easily have destroyed lewser.
