Friendship- what is it?
When one can say if has got a friend?
Is it a matter of time or trust? Or both?
Or perhaps something else?
The best thing is to separate philosophy from other things.
Everybody means something different when says friendship.
In professional life everyone has got some tasks to do.
Either you are good or not. That' s all.

Frankly, none of us should be surprised at this bit of news. They are not pay drivers, both of them have this season to prove their worth in front of the big teams....RED BULL in particular. Its no accident that Webber gets the sh*tty treatment he gets, the management at RB want him to know that he is expendable, his age does not help the matters (its a freaking shame though!!!!). Vergne and Ricciardo are both well aware of this, and in fact, they might know a bit more.....

My verdict: DROP the gloves and have at it boys!!!! Selfishly, I want to see great racing!

@Somebody

In Lewis's case, it's whether you're following each other on Twitter...

Ahh, modern society - there are so many communication devices for people to not contact you these days.

Most interesting about this article is that Vergne apparently accepts that Ricciardo beat him last year despite scoring more points than Ricciardo.

I guess in terms of pace he knows Ricciardo had his number last year and he probably knows that's what the people at topteams look at the most (at backmarker teams anyway). Unless JE can turn his qualifying pace up this year, it'll be Ricciardo who has the best shot at Webber's seat. The best shot of the two that is btw, cause with Helmut in with a say of who gets the nod who knows, they might put a complete outsider in that RBR when Webber finally gets the boot.

Good to see the honesty from both drivers. re-freshing to see for once. It is definately one of the more intriguing inter-team mate battles this year. As an aussie, of course I want Dan to come out on top. On the subject of Friendships, It will interesting to see what happens between Rosberg and Hamilton if the team gets it together and both drivers are fighting for wins and championships over the next 3 years.

I remember Liuzzi and Klien in the same position in 2005, they lived together and partied together, it didn't really work in either of their favors, Coulthard despite getting turned over by both of them on occasions however remained apparently safe with the team until he retired at the end of 2008

Love means never having to say you're sorry , does that mean they won't be holding hands anymore ? why are we being subjected to this garbage , I thought this was about Motor Sport , its sounding like a teenage girls magazine , who gives a sh+t what they feel about each other

@JJJ: It is all trivial to say the least, but regarding the qualifying times....the rookie last season in the team was Vergne, he did not know 75% of the tracks he was on and yet with that handicap he still managed to outscore his opponent (which apparently the managers at RB/TR care about). And ofcourse favorable circumstances have to be mentioned because it seems on couple of occasions it was all down to luck. But in F1, numbers speak louder than words.....overall, Vergne was exceptionally average last season and yet he came out on top. In addition, he seemed to have done his homework during the winter season and I noticed that he outpaced Ricciardo both in Jerez AND Barcelona. With that said, I agree with Luke wholeheatedly, this season is the ONE that matters for both of the drivers. Well, they better not bottle it!!

hail. not to forget that ricciardo took out vergne on one occassion, and on another, vergne was well into the points ahead of ricciardo, when schumi ran up his backside. ricciardo seems to be a better qualifier, but vergne seems to have the legs on him in race conditions.
a drivers biggest competitor is his teammate
