does anyone know what kind of program rosberg and alonso were doing? seems odd they have that many laps and no decent time. (decent time = better than maursia and caterham)

Alonso was on long hard tyre runs . I think Rosberg was doing the same , but could be wrong. Mclaren are looking strong though . Button set his time on mediums with a drying out track, so they look fast.

there was a very strong wind which was behind the cars on the straight. some cars , rbr included, were finding it affected their aero badly, so times are pretty useless. ferdi was trying differing front wings and exhaust mods.

McLaren's times are really interesting me because both Checo and JB have been pessimistic in recent times yet at every test so far they seem to have showed very good pace, albeit inconsistent. I remember comments saying McLaren are a bit behind and Gary Anderson is saying the Macca has understeer, yet Checo's pace was allegedly comparable to Webber and Massa yesterday in the longer runs (I swear that's what I heard anyway) and Button has shown impressive times a lot too.
