@Owen, presumably that was part of the deal to get Bianchi and tbh it's a good deal made imo. They're investing in the future and they've managed as a result to nab a driver who's better than the one they've got now! Shame the current F1 climate means teams like Marussia have to rely on sponsorship money, and trust fund kids to get their car going. For all the good Bernie has done making F1 global, he's got greedy and is causing harm in cutting off the circulation of small teams and is only letting rich countries get F1 races rather than countries who could do with the economic boost to help their communities.

Max Chilton the driver who is at Marussia based on his talent and skill ( his words ) has had nine days of testing, best Barcelona time this winter ? 1:25:110, Jules Bianchi one day of testing in the same car 1:24:00 that tells a story in itself ! I wonder how much it would cost in development to make that car 1.1 seconds a lap faster ? I reckon Bianchi might just prove to be a good investment :) I also reckon that Chilton will be the next one season Marussia driver !
