Richard what im saying is you have never made a positive comment about lewis hamilton and yet the people who race with him rate him as one of the best so im guessing they know a lot more than you do and before you give me the lewis fan thing im not one but i do respect anyone who can drive one of these cars at this level and i also think this time shows the merc is getting it right which we will find out soon in racing trim

Everyone getting all rather heated over Hamilton again. It was a good lap yesterday, showing that the Mercedes will be a force to be reckoned with this year, but that time has been bettered today by both Rosberg and Alonso. I should imagine that, by today's end, we'll see fast times from McLaren, Lotus & Red Bull as well. If the last year of the V8s is going to be a five way scrap that'll be just fine by me.

Some need to calm down methinks. I wouldn't be surprised at all if, come the first race, the usual suspects are where they usually are.

enrico. and if lulu finishes down the field again, imagine what his fanboys will be moaning about.

kiwibob. i guess that if you looked at my posts, you will find that i have also congratulated lulu when he deserves it. it is just that is misdemeanours seem to outweigh his talent. i have never disputed that he is fast, particulary on a one lap scenario, and occassonally in a race, but he is a bit like tim henman (tennis) , shows flashes of form that make brits ecstatic, and then throws it all away. it is the "fans" that are being criticised, rather than the driver himself.
no doubt that he will drive the merc to the best of his ability, and if he should get a win, just wait an see the deification that he will get here!
there are several really good drivers on the grid, not neccessarily winning, but as good, if not better than lulu. so if i give my opinion, what is wrong with that? if you dont like it, dont read it, but isnt a forum for disparate views?

Now that Roberg has posted today a time of :1. Nico Rosberg Mercedes 1m20.130s. are all going to start slating him? or is this only reserved for Lewis Hamilton.

@Richard,

Your comment that there are a lot of better drivers on the grid better than Lewis, but you did not mention who? why not. come let's know how many drivers out there that are better than Lewis.
Most of the top drivers always say Lewis is the one to watch...but you as a armchair pundit seem to know more than them.

675. why should i name them? if you cannot work it out for yourself, dont ask others to do it for you. but for a start, i would suggest that you look at results over the last four years, where lulu, even in arguably the best car, has been beaten

Guys you could arguably say there are three top drivers in F1 in whatever order...Lewis, Alonso, and Vettel because these are the drivers statistically that have been on the podium the most. However guys remember in GP 2 Lewis mopped the floor with vettel...and in the same car at McLaren...He gave Alonso more than he could handle...You be the judge....remember everyone has issues, like anger, immaturity, childishness....but by no means can we disregard talent when we see it no matter our prejudices.

Zak, of course Lulu had five laps worth of fuel (less than 20kg) left in his car when he set his fastest time, the facts are, he set three times in the 1-20's which were the first of a five lap stint.
Jones, this forum is about F1, posting an opinion on this forum doesn't mean one is disregarding talent, at least not for those which are not one eyed fan boys.
Mercedes tyre problems last year always appeared during warm weekends, their win in china on a cold day proves that, that problem might still be with them and it might not be showing up at this cold test, in fact they might have been helped by the cold weather.
