Thanks for helping with the branding effort richard. I was unaware of the pricing structure but it sounds like you are on top of the Lewis (doll) as usual. Although i should mention that the foam fingers are not moving at all.

Oh, you naysayers. Rosberg was on a 1 lap flyer, so it stands to reason that he would go faster than Hamilton who was on a 5 lap run. To explain it to you it means Hamilton was fuelled heavier so would naturally circulate slower. To add to that Hamilton did his run in the morning on a green track after all the rain, whereas Rosberd had a nicely rubbered in track from all the running from Yesterday! Capisch????

nico was not the only one to be faster than lulu, was he?

and then, watching the autosport live timing, i think that it showed that lulu got his time a lap before pitting, and just before the end of the session, so he was at the end of his stint. would hardly be carrying surplus fuel. but at the end of the day, there is little point getting worked up by any of these times.

So bonecrasher what you saying? lulu was on a heavier fuel load than rosberg when he set his time. So that means if Lewis was on a similar fuel load he would have maybe gone down to 1. 19s wow thanks for that info and giving good facts unlike some on here cheers for that mate

So lulu still the speedking in f1.

Sorry to ignore the article, but it needs to be said that Lewis isn't a 'gangsta' type. He's a middle class, fairly well-spoken guy from Hertfordshire who is no more 'gangsta' than Justin Bieber.

I really, really hope that some people are just innocently confused as to what behaving like a 'gangsta' actually involves.

@ f1fan
What I'm saying is exactly what I wrote, and that it is a bit disingenuous of the naysayers to start sticking the knife into Lewis already based on assumptions and lap times done in different conditions and on different fuel loads. What they seem to forget is that it is still a Mercedes Rosberg was driving, the same car Hamilton will have for the season. Now if it is capable of getting into the 1:19s, well, I guess we will know come May and the Spanish GP!

Richard all the sites say he did it at start of run and still had 4 more laps of fuel left but i know how you hate to let facts get in the way of a fair comment on lewis . Even with nico doing a light fuel run its a great time by him and looks good for merc as long as they have fixed the tyre degrad problem of last year .With all the new people on board during last year im guessing that was the area they were working on

kiwibob. you seem to love trying to find fault with me. unfortunately i only post facts. were you watching it live? well, i was, and know what i saw and what was commentated on. the tyres were only good for one lap, (not a race) and to get onegood lap you need enough fuel for four laps. any other car trying to put in a hot lap, would have to run with the same amount of fuel, even nico and fedi who were faster.

what i still say, is that this is only testing and times mean nothing, after all, SOMEBODY has to be the fastest. but it doesnt mean that they will be wdc!
