One thing is for sure Ferrari and Mercedes are not sandbagging with Rosberg and Alonso going at it on the softs until Alonso tries the super soft but cant get near Rosberg who has blitz Lewis's time of yesterday.

Surly Red Bull and Vettel wont stand for this come on Newy show your hand.

wow! nico over half a second than lulu was yesterday. this must prove that nico is the fastest driver and that the wdc is his already!

either merc have found a car that has fantastic one lap pace, or maybe it is all showboating? who knows? we will see in melbourne.

(oh dear, am i being negative about poor lulu again?)

I think these new Pirelli's are gonna give teams a headache in qualifying, from what I have seen they can produce a super quick single lap and then drop off dramatically. If this is the case we could see some mixed up starting grids this year.

F1 - Hamilton blitzes Barcelona on final outing

sutil is back (rgt). thanks for your endorsement, but please dont try and blacken me with a comment. i am a fan of f1 , full stop, and if i post an actual fact, why do you take this as hating a driver? i just do not rate some as highly as others. so what? not all drivers are equal, that is part of f1! lulu is good, but inconsistent, and that is pure fact. if you idolise lulu, fine, but to take any time in testing as an example of how a driver is doing, is not very clever. cars are carrying rakes etc, all of which affect balance, weight, aero etc. and it all depends on what config they are running, as to what time they produce. another site is saying that the merc was in fact running underweight.. and then there are some using drs to showboat, while others are concentrating on race simulations. if webber is only seventh in testing, does that mean that the bulls are finished? i doubt it.

Just wants everyone and Richard see how he contradit himself. When Lewis post a fast time, because it was due to the conditions and test times can not be taken seriously, then Nico beats that all of sudden you get excited. I would say you are a SAD man.

shan. maybe it is you who is sad. my comment on nico was just to show the silliness of the posts by the lulu lovers!

as others have pointed out, a single lap in testing does not win a race, be it by nico, lulu, ferdi, vettel...........

rob. well... it came up on another site. it seems that all or most cars aim to be on the weight in testing, so as to check tyre degradation. to allow for the added penalty of test equipment, ballast is taken out of the car, so making it underweight if a car wants to go showboating. in reality, anything goes in testing, illegal parts can be tried, drs can be used.

interestingly vettel and button went out at the same time, on the same fuel load and both on hard tyres. button went fastest at a 1 30, and that was then vettels target time. he posted a 1 27. but i ignore such things as that, due to the uncertaintity that cars are both in race trim.

it is all very well posting a fast time on a one lap flyer, but it is only RACE pace that matters, and we will not see this until melbourne. but i would like to see merc joining the front runners as it could make season more nailbiting.
